About this tour

After the meeting, we will begin our first trip to the Goreme Open Air Museum. This place is a complex of caves that were built by early Christians in the 11th century to keep their faith and way of life safe. The museum is known for its historic cave churches and has a long history dating back to the 4th century. After the museum, we will go to a viewpoint in Goreme to see the beautiful landscape. Then we will go to the Monk’s Valley, which is known for its pretty scenery and a lot of fairy chimneys. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit the Imagination Valley. This place is known for its red-colored rocks and different rock formations that look like animals. We will finish the trip by visiting Avanos Town, which is famous for pottery, silk, wool and carpet weaving, wine making, and farming. This town has a lot of history and is a great place to see both natural and man-made things. After the tour, we will go back to the hotel.
